Featured Homes

The 2010 tour will feature buildings designed by prominent architects.

Featured Music

Music is a large part of many family's holiday tradition and is a tradition of the Heritage and Holiday tour as well. Talented local artists have volunteered to entertain you as you tour the featured homes. You may wish to plan your attendance at the tour to see your favorite amongst these. Please check the performance schedule for times and locations.

Dinner Dance

This year we are opening up the dinner that we have always held immediately after the tour to a limited number of members of the public. This dinner is free to the homeowners as a thank you for their hard work in preparing for and staffing the tour. Please come out for a behind the scenes look at the Heritage and Holly tour and a pleasant dinner at the Decatur Club.

Refreshments

After you have completed your tour please stop by Wildflour Artesan Bakery & Cafe at 256 W. Main for refreshments. Artesan is a new Cafe that opened November 1st. It is operated by Kelly Wingard who in addition to being a supporter of the neighborhood is also a resident.

Transportation

Free transportation between sites will be provided in the form of a transport bus loaned to us by Homework Hangout. We have also worked with Decatur Public transit to arrange a special route for the Trolley that matches the tour route. Additionally, you may wish to walk all or part of the tour route and take the opportunity to view the architecture of the street. The bus and Trolley will begin making it's final round of pickups for the day at 8:00pm on Friday and 6:00pm on Saturday.

Parking

Please park in the lot of the Masonic Hall at the corner of William and Church. Parking is free. Parking at the individual sites is extremely limited so we encourage you to make use of the provided transportation or to walk the tour route.
